Richard Muskus, Jr. was promoted from executive vice president and chief lending officer to president of Patriot National Bancorp and Patriot Bank.

Muskus will report to Michael Carrazza, chairman and CEO of the company and the bank. Patriot is headquartered in Stamford, CT and has 10 branch locations across Connecticut and New York.

Muskus most recently served as EVP and chief lending officer of Patriot, having been in that role since 2014. Muskus was also with Patriot from 1995 to 2000 before spending 13 years at Connecticut Community Bank, serving as senior vice president of Commercial Lending and then as president of its Greenwich Bank & Trust division until his return.

“Our interest is to continue to groom and promote from within our organization; Rick’s experience, capabilities and long-term commitment to Patriot make him ideally suited and the perfect fit to lead Patriot forward,” Carrazza said.

“I am very excited by the tremendous opportunity to lead Patriot Bank as we continue to grow, prosper and innovate. I look forward to expanding and enhancing our presence in the region, strengthening our strong bonds with the people in the communities we serve, and building upon our impressive record of success,” Muskus said.
