Monroe Capital Adds Industry Veteran as NY Region Group Head

Monroe Capital announced Ben Marzouk has joined the firm as managing director – New York region group head.

Prior to Monroe, Marzouk originated lower middle-market loan transactions at Praesidian Capital. Before that, Marzouk was founder and partner of Mid-Market Credit Advisors, where he provided strategic and advisory services in capital raising, M&A and restructuring to private equity firms and privately owned businesses.

Prior to Mid-Market, Marzouk spent seven years as a managing director at CIT Group where he managed private equity client relationships and led a team responsible for originating, structuring, and underwriting senior and junior capital solutions for middle-market companies. He also worked in global debt origination at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and held senior positions at Citigroup, Inc. Marzouk began his career at The Manufacturers Hanover Trust Corp. in risk management review and corporate banking.
