Rob McNish joined AlixPartners as a managing director in the firm’s Energy & Process Industries practice. He will be based in the firm’s New York office.

McNish brings with him a broad set of capabilities in the energy sector and across several other industries, as well as deep expertise in the engineered-equipment industry. He also has experience in corporate-finance and enterprise risk-management consulting, and as a business entrepreneur.

He most recently worked at A.T. Kearney in New York, where he served in the industrial, transportation, automotive and aerospace practice as well as its M&A, private-equity and merger-integration practice.

Before that, in 2014, McNish co-founded and served as CEO of American Heritage Motorcycles, a network of powersports dealerships in the American Midwest, and served. Before that, he worked at McKinsey & Company in Washington, D.C. as a senior partner. While there, he specialized in industrial and energy companies, corporate finance, and enterprise risk management. He also held financial positions at Petro-Canada (now part of Suncor Energy), Burns Fry and Waterous Securities.
