MorrisAnderson announced that Aaron Gillum, director, was honored with the 40 Under 40 M&A Advisor Recognition Awards in the Central region category. The awards recognize achievements of the next generation of M&A, financing and turnaround professionals.

The 40 Under 40 M&A Advisor Recognition Awards promote mentorship and professional development among emerging business leaders in the M&A, financing and turnaround industries. An independent committee of M&A, financing and turnaround industry professionals judged the nominations and selected the 40 winners based on the nominees’ career accomplishments, professional expertise and community involvement.

“Aaron is truly a rising star in the turnaround industry. This prestigious honor is a testament to his strong track record of strategic and restructuring consulting to Fortune 500 and middle market companies,” said Dan Dooley, chief executive officer of MorrisAnderson. “His unique expertise with turnarounds, change management and private equity investments in the automotive and business services industries allows him to navigate clients’ complex business challenges.”

Gillum was previously recognized by the Turnaround Management Association for the Turnaround of the Year Award in the small company category for his work with Analytics, Inc., an independent pharmaceutical and chemical research laboratory. He served as financial advisor and investment banker for the $14 million company, and led its turnaround efforts to improve EBITDA by 40 percent and the eventual sale of the company for an EBITDA of six times the company’s initial offer.

The M&A Advisor will host a black tie Awards Gala in Chicago on June 7 to introduce the 40 Under 40 Awards winners to the business community and celebrate their achievements.
