Baker Donelson announced the arrival of Sameer Kapoor to the firm’s Corporate Restructuring and Bankruptcy group. Kapoor was previously of counsel with Morris, Manning & Martin.

Kapoor joins as of counsel in the firm’s Atlanta office, where he represents the interests of secured lenders and other creditors in out-of-court workouts and restructuring transactions, bankruptcy proceedings and other financial litigation matters.

“Sameer’s experience in bankruptcy, restructuring and workouts, combined with his knowledge of the southeastern market, makes him an ideal complement to our team and we are confident his addition will increase the capabilities of our financial services department as a whole,” said John Rowland, chair of Baker Donelson’s Corporate Restructuring and Bankruptcy group.
