Huron Consulting Group announced that Laura Marcero, CIRA, managing director, Huron Financial, was honored as one of the winners of the 2013 40 Under 40 M&A Advisor Recognition Awards. She was recognized under the “Service Provider” category.

Marcero has more than 17 years of restructuring experience advising automotive and manufacturing clients on strategic alternatives throughout the growth cycle, focusing on restructuring, growth advisory, and strategic decision making for companies in transition. Marcero served as the chief restructuring officer of Kazi Foods and orchestrated the largest sale of KFC franchise locations in the U.S. She has worked on more than 200 auto cases and her work for and viewpoints on the automotive supplier community served as a basis by which requests were made to Timothy Geithner and the U.S. government for funding to the automotive supplier community in 2009.
