Holland & Knight served as special New York counsel in connection with a $400 million syndicated term loan facility for Banistmo. The transaction marked the first global syndicated loan for Banistmo, a subsidiary of Bancolombia, with a term of three years. The transaction closed on October 7.

The firm advised administrative agent The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, and joint lead arrangers The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, J.P. Morgan Securities and Wells Fargo Securities.

New York-based partner Norberto Quintana and associate Carlos Meza led the firm’s representation of the lenders in the transaction. Miami-based senior counsel Gabriel Caballero provided banking regulatory advice.
