David B. Weir, Jr. has joined Grant Thornton’s Public Sector Healthcare practice as a managing director.

He is responsible for supporting Grant Thornton clients at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and across the public sector healthcare space.

Weir has more than 25 years of consulting experience serving commercial, public sector and nonprofit clients. He brings a depth of capability and experience in strategy, transformation, automation and innovation services with a focus on enabling client missions and enhancing employee experience.

Most recently, he was a managing director at Deloitte Consulting, where he held multiple leadership roles across various sectors, including federal healthcare and defense. He also served as a managing director at BearingPoint and held consulting roles with KPMG and The Hackett Group earlier in his career.
