Crowell & Moring added Sarah Gilbert to its New York office as a partner in the firm’s Commercial Litigation Group.

Gilbert handles complex commercial disputes, from pre-litigation through appeal, with a focus on the financial services sector. She has successfully defended financial services clients against potential multimillion-dollar liabilities. In addition to her experience litigating matters involving consumer fraud, financial torts, unfair competition and commercial contracts, she focuses her practice on the areas of media law and related intellectual property issues.

“Sarah’s addition builds on Crowell & Moring’s capabilities for handling complex litigation in venues across the U.S.,” said Gregory D. Call, chair of Crowell & Moring’s Commercial Litigation Group. “She will be an invaluable asset for clients, particularly those in the financial services and media arenas. We are excited to welcome Sarah to the firm.”

Gilbert joins the firm from Satterlee Stephens Burke & Burke, where she worked for the past four years and was named a partner in 2015. She previously served as an associate at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan. Gilbert also clerked for the Honorable Cathy Seibel of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York (2009-2010).
