Clarence Nunn was named the president and CEO of GE Capital, Franchise Finance.
Prior to beginning his 22 year career with GE, Nunn spent two years in the National Football League. In 1992, Nunn joined the sales team at Polymerland, a GE distributor of thermoplastic resins. From there, he held several positions within GE Plastics and GE Capital with increasing responsibility in sales, marketing, product management and quality.
Upon joining GE’s financial services business in 2002, Nunn was promoted to senior vice president of sales and marketing at GE Capital Canada Equipment Finance in Montreal. In 2004, Nunn returned to the U.S., where he held several roles such as senior vice president/general manager of GE Vendor Financial Services, chief marketing officer and, later, chief commercial officer of GE Capital, Commercial Distribution Finance.
In 2009, Nunn was named president and CEO of GE Capital Fleet Services. During his tenure, his role expanded to include leading the GE Capital, Rail Services business unit as well. In 2012, Nunn was named chief commercial officer of GE Capital, Americas, the largest provider of commercial loans and leases to mid-market companies in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
