First Capital announced that Nick McDearis has been promoted to vice president/business development officer for First Capital’s Eastern ABL region headquartered in Atlanta, GA. McDearis will be responsible for new asset-based lending business development throughout the Eastern United States.

McDearis began his career in the finance and lending industry with First Capital in the areas of field exam, underwriting, and portfolio management. Prior to his new role as a business development officer, he supported the Eastern ABL region as an account executive managing a diverse portfolio of accounts.

“Nick has already proven himself as an essential part of our team,” said John Nooney, Eastern ABL region manager and executive vice president of First Capital. “His experience with the culture and sales process of First Capital will ensure his successful transition into the new position quickly and become a productive member of the Eastern ABL region.”

McDearis received a B.B.A. in Finance from The University of Georgia and is a member of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA).

First Capital provides working capital financing typically ranging from $2 million to $25 million primarily to small- and middle-market entrepreneurs with annual sales ranging from $10 million to $250 million.
