First Capital Hires Gouskos in Midwest Region

First Capital announced the hiring of Christopher Gouskos in the Midwest region. He will be responsible for new business development throughout the Texas markets for First Capital’s Midwest region.

Gouskos is a well-seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in all aspects of the corporate finance industry including business development, underwriting, portfolio management and operations. Most recently, Gouskos was a managing director at Focus Management managing a primary contract with the FDIC and generating new opportunities for their corporate and CRE restructuring practices. Other previous positions include running the Asset-Based Lending Divisions of Textron Financial and Conseco Finance as well division management positions with GE Consumer Finance and Bank of America/Countrywide Home Loans. Gouskos has also held other senior vice president and vice president positions with various banks and finance companies.

“Chris is a great addition to the Midwest team,” said John Curtis, EVP and Midwest regional manager. “His knowledge of the local market coupled with his experience in driving growth and capitalizing on market opportunities will allow us to implement our growth strategy in the Texas market.”

Gouskos stated, “I’m thrilled to be joining the team at First Capital where I’ll be able to use my experience in the industry, business development and strategy implementation in further developing the Texas market.”

He is a graduate of Iowa State University where he received a BBA in Accounting with an emphasis in Finance.

First Capital provides working capital financing from $2 million to $15 million primarily to small and middle-market business owners with annual sales ranging from $10 million to $250 million.
