Justin Mills joined Eastern Bank as a senior vice president and commercial relationship manager focused on asset-based lending. Based in Boston, Mills’ experience spans asset-based lending as well as broader commercial lending.
“Justin brings over a decade of experience in the asset-based lending and commercial lending sectors, and we are pleased to welcome him to Eastern,” Gregory Buscone, executive vice president, senior commercial banking officer of Eastern Bank, said. “Don Lewis, head of asset-based lending, continues to grow our asset-based lending team within our commercial banking area, and Justin’s arrival brings additional depth to our offering for customers.”
Prior to joining Eastern, Mills worked at People’s United Business Capital, formerly Danversbank, as senior vice president, asset-based lending, where he directed a multi-million dollar asset-based lending portfolio systems conversion between Danversbank and People’s United. He was responsible for sourcing, underwriting, credit analysis and portfolio management and also led business development in New England. He was previously a vice president, commercial lending at Sovereign/Santander Bank, where he assisted in the growth of a commercial middle market portfolio and worked with commercial lending customers. A resident of North Reading, MA, Mills serves as a board member of Turnaround Management Association, and is a past president and chairman of The Secured Finance Network New England chapter. He has been recognized on The Secured Finance Network’s 40 Under 40 2016 list. He enjoys spending time outdoors with his family in New Hampshire and Vermont.
“I look forward to joining Eastern’s asset-based lending team and supporting its work with clients. Greg and Don have assembled an impressive group and I look forward to contributing to their continued success,” Mills said.
