EA Markets, an independent investment bank, added Harpreet Wadhawan and John Cryan as managing directors.

Wadhawan brings experience as a senior banker raising debt and equity capital for both public and private companies. At EA, Wadhawan will lead the corporate financing practice and will be responsible for building partnerships with private equity firms and client relationships primarily in the middle market.

Wadhawan has worked in financial services for more than 20 years. He began his investment banking career with Barclays Capital where he served as a director responsible for business origination, corporate finance and managing client relationships in the media sector. Prior to joining New York-based EA, he co-founded Faehm, where he headed the corporate finance practice advising clients on capital structure, special situations and financing optimization.

“Harpreet is highly qualified in corporate finance and capital raising across the financial markets,” commented Reuben Daniels, founder and managing partner of EA Markets. “We have known one another for nearly 15 years, and I am very enthusiastic about his ability to add value for our clients.”

Cryan brings extensive corporate finance experience as a leading authority on equity valuation. At EA, Cryan will focus on expanding the firm’s strategic equity advisory practice through the analytical and practical application of corporate strategy, capital deployment and shareholder activism.

Cryan began his investment banking career with Credit Suisse in the Strategic Finance Group focused on shareholder value advisory. Prior to Credit Suisse, he developed his expertise in the finance and performance management group of Accenture. Most recently, Cryan was co-founder and senior partner with Fortuna Advisors, an independent shareholder advisory and management consulting firm.
