Cross River Bank appointed Arlen Gelbard EVP, general counsel and Geoffrey Kott SVP, head of Capital Markets and Corporate Strategy. Gelbard and Kott will report to Cross River Bank CEO Gilles Gade.

Gelbard brings an extensive portfolio of expertise advising, managing and operating in dynamic and complex legal and regulatory environments for global, multi-billion dollar publicly traded financial institutions and smaller, private entities.

Gelbard recently served as a senior advisor at Treliant Risk Advisors. Previously he held executive leadership and general counsel positions at Stifel Bank & Trust, Acacia Federal Savings Bank, Jefferson National Financial and E*TRADE Financial.

Kott brings extensive experience building and leading large multi-billion-dollar global businesses focused on securitization and asset-backed products, including consumer, residential, commercial and corporate loan-based assets.

Kott joins Cross River after spending nearly a decade at Morgan Stanley, where he served as a managing director and the global head of the Securitized Products Asset-Based Lending Group. Previously, he practiced as an attorney with McKee Nelson, where he specialized in structured finance.
