Freed Maxick CPAs announced that John D. Crawford, CPA, joined the firm as principal to build and manage a new practice unit out of the New York tri-state area. Crawford will be responsible for developing the newly established Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) practice across the United States, building key relationships and providing niche service offerings to middle-market private equity groups, venture capitalists, and the investment and commercial banking sectors.

Crawford has an extensive background in the financial services industry, both as a lender and as a service provider.
