Phil Langenderfer joined CohnReznick, an advisory, assurance and tax firm in the U.S., as an assurance partner focusing on the firm’s expanding financial sponsors and financial services industry practice. Based in Chicago, Langenderfer specializes in advising investment management clients including mutual funds, private equity funds, alternative investments funds, hedge funds and investment advisers.
Langenderfer has extensive experience overseeing audit test work for the valuation of multiple investment types including alternative and hard to value investments and derivatives. He advises clients on the implementation of newly required accounting disclosures, manages the audits of unusual transactions including mergers and service provider changes, and oversees the independence process for complex, large multi-national investment companies. Langenderfer has advised public and private companies on PCAOB, SEC, and U.S. GAAP accounting requirements.
