Andrew Cardonick joined Sidley Austin‘s Chicago office as a partner in the Global Finance practice.

Cardonick focuses his practice primarily on the representation of commercial banks, business development companies and other nonbank financial institutions, as well as select private equity funds. He advises clients in connection with sponsored and non-sponsored asset-based, cash flow, split lien, unitranche, second lien, and unsecured syndicated, club and single bank credit facilities throughout the U.S. and internationally.

Cardonick formerly co-chaired the finance practice at Greenberg Traurig.

“Due to significant competitive and regulatory developments within the global finance industry, both traditional and non-traditional lenders are looking for guidance in navigating complex transactions,” said Craig Griffith, member of Sidley’s Global Finance practice. “We are pleased to welcome Drew to the firm as his considerable experience will expand Sidley’s finance capabilities to support our clients engaging in deals within this changing environment.”
