Capital Business Credit LLC (CBC), a global integrated financial products and services company, announced that Steven Fields has joined the organization to lead customer acquisition efforts for asset-based lending, factoring and trade finance programs in the Midwest.

Fields brings to CBC more than 25 years of experience providing asset-based lending credit facilities to small, medium and large-scale businesses across a diverse set of industries. He will serve as senior vice president, business development, and will be based in Cincinnati, OH. Fields will work directly with CBC’s CEO, Marc Adelson, and executive chairman, Andrew Tananbaum, to provide asset-based lending and other financial products to small- and mid-sized businesses in the region.

“Steven is experienced in helping businesses of all sizes use asset-based facilities to improve liquidity, drive operational improvement and aid in restructuring,” said Adelson. “His deep banking experience combined with an entrepreneurial attitude will help increase the visibility of CBC’s products and services to businesses across a variety of sectors throughout the Midwest.”

“Capital Business Credit is uniquely positioned to provide small and middle market companies with the financial products to meet their business needs,” said Fields. “I look forward to working with the Company’s leadership team to offer their products and expertise to Midwestern companies who are unable to obtain financing through a traditional bank, as well as those who require a customized financial solution.”

Prior to joining CBC, Fields served as a founder and partner of Excel Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on acquiring small- to middle-market manufacturing companies. Prior to Excel Capital Partners, Fields spent 15 years at U.S. Bank in Cincinnati, where he served in various roles in the company’s business credit and structured capital divisions. During his tenure, he developed and managed national origination teams to serve the middle and large corporate market. He also held positions at CitiCorp and First National Bank.
