Byline Bancorp appointed Margarita Hugues Vélez to the boards of directors of both Byline Bancorp and its subsidiary, Byline Bank, effective immediately. Hugues Vélez has several years of experience as a director of international private and public companies. In addition to Hugues Vélez’s appointment, Steven M. Rull will be retiring from the board in June.

Hugues Vélez has been the corporate director at Grupo Kaluz (which is the holding company for Orbia) and Elementia Materiales and Fortaleza Materiales. Her professional career encompasses senior leadership positions at companies such as Grupo Modelo as well as professional experience at Mexican and international law firms.
