National law firm Lowenstein Sandler added Benjamin C. Burkhart to the firm as a partner specializing in technology and investment fund M&A.

Burkhart will practice with the firm’s Transactions and Advisory Group and Tech Group. He was previously a partner at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius in New York.

Burkhart’s experience includes investments in and acquisitions of emerging growth companies and includes companies involved in fiber infrastructure and wireless technologies, micro-LED development, software animation, application indexing and systems and applications essential to the “Internet of Things.”

Marita A. Makinen, chair of Lowenstein’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice, said, “Ben’s experience representing some of the largest technology companies in buy-side transactions – as well as fund investors in late-stage companies – is a perfect fit for our firm. His experience will further enhance our strategic M&A capabilities and add value to our clients. Ben’s entrepreneurial and hands-on approach is exactly how we like to partner with clients at Lowenstein.”
