Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, a national law firm, announced that Evan N. Wolkofsky, a partner in the finance practice of K&L Gates, joined the firm as a shareholder in its Charlotte office.

Wolkofsky’s move to Buchanan adds another layer of banking depth to the Charlotte office, which includes banking and finance lawyers Mike Wielechowski, Nathan Fuller, Andrew Berrier and Kerri DeRuyter.

“Evan’s practice meshes perfectly with our local strengths as well as the firm’s national platform in the financial services sector,” said Wielechowski, who opened the firm’s local office in October of 2012. “We will continue to strengthen the Charlotte office with strategic hires that are in line with client needs,” he added. The firm’s offices are located in the Carillon Building.

Wolkofsky represents banks, corporate clients and private equity groups in commercial lending transactions including syndicated and non-syndicated working capital, acquisition financings, workouts and restructurings, mezzanine financings, real estate financings and other corporate matters. Wolkofsky received his J.D. degree from Wake Forest University School of Law.
