Private equity firm GTCR added Jim Bonetti as managing director and head of the Capital Markets group. Bonetti will lead the firm’s capital markets activities as part of the transaction teams, as well as manage and build upon GTCR’s key financing and banking relationships.

“Our leaders strategy approach to investing drives significant portfolio company transformation through frequent add-on acquisition activity, and our investments take on a wide range of size and profile. This requires a sophisticated approach to the market and flexibility across different capital structure alternatives as well as deep and collaborative relationships with our financing partners,” said Craig Bondy, a managing director at the firm. “We are very excited to add Jim to our team as an important investment in our future growth and capability.”

Prior to joining GTCR, Bonetti was a managing director and co-head of the North American Leveraged & Acquisition Finance group at Morgan Stanley. Bonetti managed a team of professionals accountable for the origination and structuring of non-investment grade debt transactions. Bonetti also functioned as head of the North American Syndicate Desk responsible for managing the pricing, distribution judgments and execution for all non-investment grade loan and high yield transactions. In this role, Bonetti spent a decade developing strategic partnerships with institutional investors.

Prior to Morgan Stanley, Bonetti was an analyst in the Equity Capital Markets and Asset Management groups at Goldman Sachs.
