BNY Mellon Wealth Management named Claudine Welti senior wealth director in New York. Welti will report to managing director Katia Friend, and will be responsible for new business development in the Tri-State region.

Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Welti served as a senior vice president and private client advisor in the New York office of U.S. Trust, Bank of America. She worked with high net-worth individuals and families, as well as foundations and endowments, to design and implement integrated wealth strategies, incorporating investments, credit and planning. Previously, Welti worked as an executive director at Oppenheimer & Co. and spent nine years at CIBC World Markets, primarily in institutional U.S. equity sales.
