BMO Financial Group expanded its commercial banking operations in Florida, naming new leaders in the South Florida, West Florida and Central/North Florida regions. Marty McAndrew, managing director and Florida market executive for commercial banking at BMO, will continued to oversee the company’s entire Florida commercial banking team.

“We see tremendous opportunity to leverage our industry expertise and local market knowledge to help local business leaders in Florida expand their operations and continue to drive economic growth,” McAndrew said. “We have a very strong, experienced local management team in place, and we look forward to building on our momentum throughout the state.”

Kris Dake, managing director and team leader for Central/North Florida commercial banking for BMO, will manage the company’s office in Orlando, FL, which was announced in July. Dake has been providing financial solutions to business customers in the Central and North Florida regions for more than 23 years. Dake has already expanded the team to Jacksonville, FL, with the recent hiring of Steven Dackiewicz as director of commercial banking.

Shawn Oden will lead BMO’s commercial banking operations across Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties in Florida as managing director and team leader of South Florida commercial banking. Oden has spent his entire 17-year commercial banking career in the market.

Finally, BMO launched a new commercial banking group in Tampa Bay, FL, which will be led by John Astrab, managing director and team leader for West Florida commercial banking. Astrab has provided commercial banking services in the West Florida region for more than 15 years.

BMO already has 17 retail branches in Florida, as well as three wealth management offices located in Sarasota, FL; Naples, FL; and West Palm Beach, FL. In total, BMO has approximately 200 employees based in Florida.
