J.P. Morgan hired Jeffrey Bloomquist as a managing director and Michael Lucas as an executive director in its Corporate Client Banking & Specialized Industries (CCBSI) West regional team in Denver. The two will serve corporations in Colorado, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, New Mexico, Nevada and Arizona.

Steve Krakoski, who served as the senior banker covering the region, plans to retire after more than 20 years with the firm.

“We have a long-standing presence in the West and are committed to working with corporations, providing in-depth expertise and customized banking solutions to help meet their complex needs,” said David Shaheen, head of CCBSI’s West Region and Entertainment Industries Group. “Steve’s brought tremendous value to the team and we’re thrilled to welcome Jeff and Michael, two talented and experienced bankers who have a deep understanding of the market.”

Bloomquist has more than 20 years of experience in financial services. He joins the firm from Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he was most recently senior relationship manager for Global Commercial Banking, after spending over 18 years in Syndicated Leverage Finance, covering the energy, transportation and industrial sectors.

Lucas has more than 15 years of experience in financial services and joins the firm from Rothschild, where he served as director for the Mergers and Acquisitions practice, covering the technology, industrials, consumer and retail sectors.
