Chris Black joined Franklin Synergy Bank as executive vice president of Strategy on the company’s executive leadership team.

Black will be based in the downtown Franklin, TN headquarters and will oversee strategic planning and execution for both the bank and its parent company, Franklin Financial Network.

Black joins Franklin from FirstBank, where he served as senior vice president and CFO, Banking. He also previously worked in the investment management and investment research industries, specializing in the banking sector while at Merrill Lynch & Co. and ISI Group. Prior to working in the private sector, Black served for over nine years as an officer and pilot in the United States Air Force.
