Asset Finance International reported that Bibby Financial Services announced David Postings was appointed as global chief executive officer.

Bibby Financial Services (BFS) announced David Postings was appointed as global chief executive officer. Postings, who joined BFS as UK CEO in April 2012, took over as interim-global chief executive following the departure of Simon Featherstone in August.

With 37 years’ experience in financial services, Postings has held senior roles at Lloyds TSB, Barclays and TTT Moneycorp. He will start his new role with immediate effect, heading up a global team of 1,300.

Sir Michael Bibby, managing director of the Bibby Line Group said: “I’m delighted to announce David’s permanent appointment as Global CEO of Bibby Financial Services.

“Under his tenure, our UK business has gone from strength-to-strength. David’s commercial approach, dedication and experience will ensure we continue to grow both our domestic and international funding around the world.”

With over 9,500 business customers worldwide and operations across Europe, Asia-Pac and the Americas, BFS is the world’s largest independent invoice finance provider.

David Postings commented: “We want to continue to set the standard for service and value for SMEs globally. I’m delighted to be given this opportunity and look forward to working with the strong leadership team at BFS to continue the positive momentum achieved in recent years.”

For the year ending December 31, 2014, BFS reported turnover of £159 million ($244 million) with debts factored growing by 2.7% year-on-year.

In 2015, the business was awarded 50th place in the Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For list, the fourth time it has appeared in the top 100.
