Balance Point Capital Partners (BPCP), a provider of capital to lower middle-market companies, announced that Justin M. Kaplan joined the BPCP team as a partner.

Kaplan brings experience in providing investment capital to the lower middle market. For the past nine years, Kaplan has worked at BNY Mellon Alcentra Mezzanine Partners where he was responsible for transaction sourcing, deal execution and the monitoring of portfolio companies. Kaplan began his career in the investment banking group of Veronis Suhler Stevenson, an independent investment bank and private equity fund specializing in the media industry.

“Justin’s background and expertise in providing debt and equity financing to companies in our target market is a great fit with BPCP,” commented managing partner Seth Alvord. “His broad industry exposure, analytical experience and strong relationships will be invaluable as we continue to deploy capital in support of companies and management teams across the lower middle market. We are very excited to have him join our partnership.”
