H.I.G. Capital, a global investment firm, announced that Haseeb Aziz has joined the London team of H.I.G. WhiteHorse. H.I.G. WhiteHorse is the credit arm of H.I.G. Capital, specializing in providing debt capital to profitable middle-market companies in Europe and the U.S.

Prior to joining H.I.G., Aziz was a partner at Hutton Collins Partners, a subordinated debt and preferred equity fund manager, where he was responsible for originating, structuring and monitoring investments. He has completed and led a significant number of transactions over the last ten years. Aziz’s career has involved leveraged finance at Merrill Lynch, management consulting at Marakon, private debt placements at Deutsche Bank and mergers and acquisitions at Morgan Stanley. He is a graduate of Oxford University and INSEAD.

In commenting on the appointment, Sami Mnaymneh, co-founder and managing partner of H.I.G. Capital, stated, “We are excited to have Haseeb on board. He is one of the most experienced and knowledgeable investors in the European non-bank loan origination market, and we expect him to play a leading role in helping to significantly expand H.I.G.’s activities in this arena.”

H.I.G. WhiteHorse is currently investing from funds with available capital in excess of $1.5 billion.
