Amherst Partners announced that Jeremy Falendysz, director, and Carl Schmidt, analyst, joined the firm in its Investment Banking practice at the Birmingham, MI headquarters.

Falendysz brings ten years of investment banking experience, having completed over 50 corporate finance transactions representing more than $60 billion in total transaction value.

Prior to joining Amherst Partners, Falendysz served as a vice president in Morgan Stanley’s investment banking division. He developed an expertise within the energy sector, including pipelines and terminals, exploration and production, refining, renewables and oilfield services. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Falendysz held investment banking positions at UBS and Deutsche Bank.

Falendysz earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, graduating with honors. He obtained a dual bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Michigan, with High Distinction. He is a FINRA-licensed securities representative, holding his Series 7 and Series 63 registrations.

Carl Schmidt also recently joined Amherst as an Analyst in the Birmingham office. Schmidt supports Amherst’s investment banking and restructuring clients through financial analysis, business valuation, due diligence and industry research.

Prior to joining Amherst, Schmidt held positions in the financial services industry with responsibilities across a variety of functional areas including marketing, business development and project management. Schmidt received his B.S. in Management from Indiana University.
