Professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal appointed Daniel Frigell, the former head of valuation services for KPMG Sweden, to lead its expanding Nordic valuation practice.

As managing director, Frigell will grow the firm’s valuation practice across the Nordics, providing clients with expertise in dispute; tax and sell-side valuation; debt service modeling and analysis; and investigative services. With 17 years of experience, he joins A&M as one of the region’s most qualified consulting professionals and noted experts on dispute valuation and incentive programs.

“Evolving regulatory requirements continue to press Nordic-based companies to seek out local professionals who are free from audit conflicts but still bring the deep knowledge and strong experience often associated with the Big Four,” said Christer Wiberg, managing director and Nordic practice co-leader.

Helene Willberg, the Nordic practice’s other co-leader, added, “Daniel’s proven capabilities will help our clients meet the challenges they face. His leadership experience will be invaluable as the office continues on its growth trajectory.”

Before his time at KPMG, Frigell served in senior positions at PwC and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. He built a knowledge base in an array of assignments for public and private companies, and private equity firms and their portfolio companies. His work encompassed valuations, transaction structuring, dispute/litigation support and incentive programs.

“Daniel‘s appointment is a demonstration of A&M‘s continued expansion strategy and commitment to provide a complete suite of fully integrated services that maximize value for clients globally,” said Paul Aversano, managing director and global practice leader of A&M’s Transaction Advisory Group.
