John Ripley and Arthur Ayzerov will be taking the lead as co-chief investment officers of Alpine Global Management, an investment firm specializing in event-driven trading across global markets. They will be responsible for overseeing all investment activities across the firm.

Ripley joined Alpine in 2013 from Deutsche Bank, where he was the global head of delta one trading. During his time at Alpine, he has built out the flagship special situations group and been instrumental in establishing additional strategies for the firm focusing on mergers and idiosyncratic opportunities.

Ayzerov joined Alpine in 2012 from J.P. Morgan, where he was the former head of portfolio trading. He has built out the global indices and capital markets events trading teams at Apline during his tenure.

Uriel Cohen and Charles Kim, co-founders of Alpine Global Management, will be stepping back from any day-to-day management.

“John and Arthur are both highly talented investment professionals who have made significant contributions to Alpine’s success,” Cohen said. “We are confident in their ability to lead the firm and take it to the next level.”

“We are excited to take on this new challenge and are committed to delivering strong returns,” Ripley and Ayzerov said in a joint statement. “We are grateful for the support and guidance that Uriel and Charles have provided over the years, and we look forward to working with them in our new roles.”
