Matt Clark has joined AlixPartners as a managing director based in the firm’s London office. He will focus on developing and delivering business transformation strategies for the firm’s retail clients in the UK and wider EMEA region.

Clark joins AlixPartners from KPMG Boxwood (previously Boxwood), a specialist transformation consulting firm. A founding partner of Boxwood, Clark developed and led that firm’s consumer and retail practice, becoming a partner and retail transformation lead at KPMG upon Boxwood’s sale in 2015. Over a 20-year consulting career, he has assisted a wide range of retail clients to accelerate their performance through new value proposition design, effective omnichannel strategy, international expansion, optimizing operating models, and driving productivity.

“Matt joins our firm at a time when the retail industry is contending with well-documented seismic shifts,” said Simon Freakley, CEO of AlixPartners. “His extensive experience in assisting retail organizations in meeting their most complex challenges and building for success in the face of industry-wide disruption is a significant new addition to our existing capabilities in this key sector.”
