ABF Journal announced the debut of its Specialty Lending and Factoring issue at the International Factoring Association’s (IFA) 2012 Factoring Conference held April 18-21 in Huntington Beach, CA.

This issue, once the factoring issue, has been rebranded to include the world of specialty lending.

The edition features a roundtable with lenders to the staffing industry including Stephen Leavenworth, James Rothman and G. Allen Geyer, of Sterling National Bank, Crestmark Bank and AGR Financial, respectively, who speak of such topics as lending mechanics to what they see for the sectors they serve.

Cheryl Carner and Josh Franklin of Crystal Financial discuss lending against untraditional assets.

CIT Trade Finance’s Ann-Margret Crater notes the company’s alignment with the LA fashion industry. So when the Los Angeles EDC was looking for a sponsor for its LA Fashion Industry Profile, the company jumped at the offer.

Senior editor Stuart Papavassiliou took some time to speak with Darren Latimer and Scott Winicour regarding Gibraltar Business Capital’s acquisition of Greenfield Commercial Credit. Papavassiliou also spoke with Milestone Advisor’s Tim Stute, who discussed commercial finance acquisitions.

Associate Editor Lisa Goetz sat down with Mike Gallagher and John Schmidt, founders of Castle Pines Capital, to find out why its recent acquisition with Wells Fargo Capital Finance’s Lender Finance Division was a natural progression.

And that’s not all. As in every issue of ABF Journal, there are a variety of articles in the turnaround, factoring, bankruptcy and legal sections.
