CapitalSource has hired industry veterans John Dixon and Tom Yaeger to lead its new Premium Finance Group. Previously, Dixon was a division president and general counsel at FIRST Insurance Funding. Yaeger brings more than 20 years of experience working for AIG’s premium financing businesses.

Monroe Credit Advisors announced Jeff Knopping joined the firm as a managing director and partner to open its New York office. Prior to Monroe, Knopping was most recently a managing director at William Blair & Company. He also spent 13 years at GE Capital where he co-founded the debt capital markets business.

Anthony Urbaites rejoined The Keystone Group, a management consulting firm in Chicago, as a principal. Most recently, Urbaites was COO of Innovations International, a software company in the home furnishings vertical.

United Capital announced two new additions to the organization’s business development team: Melanie Gutzmer, VP, regional business development officer, and Michelle Ternus, senior account manager.

TD Bank has named Brenda C. Edwards as portfolio loan officer in Middle-Market Lending in Mahwah, NJ. A vice president, she is responsible for supporting relationship officers by developing and underwriting new business lending opportunities and expanding existing business relationships.

Capital One appointed John Taylor as senior vice president of Government Banking for southeast Texas and Houston, Shawn Robertson as vice president in New Jersey and Tammy Leisen as senior vice president of Government Banking on Long Island. The company also promoted Wayne Kuss to senior vice president in New Jersey.

Regions Financial said it has named Robert Daniel as group head and managing director of the Restaurant Banking group, Greg Jones as managing director of the Technology & Defense Banking group and Chris Rogers as managing director of the Healthcare Banking group.

MidCap Business Credit has appointed Tom Hruden to its business development team as a vice president. He will cover the West Coast region.

TD Bank has named Alison Kilmurray as vice president, senior loan officer in Middle-Market Lending in Melville, NY. She is responsible for developing new business clients and maintaining account relationships, serving customers throughout Metro New York with a focus on Long Island.

Hilco Merchant Resources announced the appointment of Matthew Wood to senior vice president, Financial Operations. Wood, who has been with HMR for 11 years, will manage personnel, infrastructure, training, reconciliations and client relationships as they relate to HMR transactions.
