Tracy Foohey is a director with B. Riley Advisory Services and assists with leading the company’s consumer inventory appraisal group. In addition to client service responsibilities, Foohey has taken leadership of the firm’s internal learning and development, training and hiring initiatives. Her long tenure with B. Riley and experience enables her to provide insight and direction not only to her direct reports, but also all of the company’s associates, helping them with their appraisals and coaching them through strategy and communication with clients.

Notwithstanding the market challenges over the past year, Foohey has effortlessly balanced internal and external client commitments to ensure seamless execution amid one of B. Riley’s busiest periods for its asset-based lending appraisal business. Foohey has taken the initiative to increase interaction with her lending clients and companies while increasing internal hiring and training efforts within the company.

Foohey has developed longstanding lending relationships through exceptional execution in support of B. Riley’s appraisal work and is often specifically requested by returning clients. As an expert in the retail and consumer industry, Foohey has assisted in building the foundation of B. Riley’s consumer appraisal practice, providing invaluable knowledge and insights to lending clients.

Foohey also has spearheaded B. Riley’s analyst training program as well as other planned and scheduled training for its inventory appraisal group. She ideated B. Riley’s “Training Palooza,” which is a series of L&D and training events specific to different associate levels for all groups within B. Riley’s appraisal division. This initiative has been one of the firm’s most successful initiatives to date. Lastly, Foohey developed and continues to lead the B. Riley Advisory Services summer internship program, which has since been adopted as the basis for parent company B. Riley Financial’s corporate program.
