Maureen Sullivan
Managing Director and Global Head of Supply Chain Finance
Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG)

Over a career spanning more than 30 years and positions with Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), HSBC, Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase and Citi, Maureen Sullivan has held progressively senior roles while providing trade and supply chain finance — as well as working-capital solutions — to banking clients, including suppliers, buyers and distributors that often pledge inventory for asset-based finance.

Currently, Sullivan serves as the managing director and global head of supply chain finance at MUFG. She has full P&L responsibility for her practice and partners with the bank’s asset-based finance group to serve clients seeking working capital solutions. She also leads a direct and indirect team of more than 100 subject matter experts. During her tenure, she has led the expansion of MUFG’s supply chain finance practice to cover clients in Europe and Mexico, and has made progress developing a launch strategy in Asia. Ultimately, she’s transformed a low-return business and supercharged it to become one of the largest supply chain finance practices in the world, particularly after leading the absorption of GE Capital’s supply chain finance platform in 2019.

Sullivan distinguished herself in the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, providing clients with timely solutions during a period of financial stress. As the global economy has hinged on disrupted supply chains for the last year and a half, Sullivan has provided financial solutions to corporations to help them produce and distribute essential goods and materials, thus enabling them to reach their intended consumers.

Apart from devoting her three-decade career to devising financial solutions for clients and being a vital contributor to her employers’ growth, Sullivan exhibits extraordinary passion for her work and is dedicated to the personal and professional development of her colleagues through mentoring and coaching.
