Jennifer Buczek Ezring
Partner and Executive Committee Co-Chair
Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP

Jennifer Buczek Ezring has led a key trend in asset-based lending during her more than a decade-long career with Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP. As private equity sponsors increasingly utilize asset-based loans as a key component of their financing packages for leveraged buyouts, Ezring’s experience in leveraged finance and private equity has uniquely positioned her to guide traditional ABL lenders through the process of adapting ABL to the requirements and expectations of this expanded market.

Ezring works across multiple financial products throughout a borrower’s capital structure. This ensures that when she joins a deal, she understands her piece inside and out and can observe the overall transaction to ensure perfect synchrony. During 2022, Ezring led several prominent ABL transactions for brands such as Lucid Motors, US Foods and The Gap. In her work for Lucid Motors, an electric vehicle manufacturer and distributor, she helped the company complete its very first ABL transaction, which totaled $1 billion and was syndicated to 11 banks.

The co-chair of Cahill’s executive committee, Ezring is also a member of Cahill’s green and wellness committee and has previously been involved and active in its women’s initiatives and diversity and inclusion committees. Ezring is also a widely respected speaker, regularly presenting at the Association for Corporate Growth’s Women of Leadership conference and Secured Finance Network events, such as its Asset-Based Capital Conference and Cross-Border Lending Summit. For her stellar performance, she has been recommended as a leading finance lawyer by Chambers USA, IFLR1000 and The Legal 500, while earning a spot on Law360’s exclusive list of Structured Finance MVPs in 2022, Crain’s 2019 list of Notable Women in Law and The Secured Lender’s 50 Women in Commercial Finance in 2017.
