Caroline C. Gorman
Partner and Co-Chair of Business Department
Stradley Ronon

Caroline C. Gorman has made a name for herself in the historically male-dominated financial services industry through her hard work and determination, and she has built a strong practice with some of the most significant financial institutions in the United States. A partner at Stradley Ronon, Gorman serves as co-chair of the finance and real estate practice group and vice chair of the business department for the firm. In these roles, she leads a team of more than 70 attorneys with expertise in various transactional and advisory disciplines. In addition to her department direction, Gorman took on a new leadership role at Stradley Ronon in 2023, as she was elected to the firm’s board of directors.

A former summer associate who joined Stradley Ronon in 2008 and became an associate in 2009, Gorman earned partner status in 2019. In July 2022, The M&A Advisor named her a winner of its 13th Annual Emerging Leaders Award, which celebrates the accomplishments and significant level of success of dealmakers, attorneys and investment bankers under the age of 40.

Known for her excellent business judgment and ability to handle complex matters, Gorman frequently deals with construction and real estate loans, acquisition financing and asset-based financing for secured and unsecured financing transactions. More specifically, she regularly represents secured lenders in providing revolving and term loan financing to companies acquiring nursing facilities through asset purchase and operations transfer agreements, as well in the acquisition of real property and related operations.

Amid the myriad transactions she handled in 2022, Gorman represented MidCap Financial Trust as a secured lender in various asset-based and real estate revolving and term loan credit facilities while also working with national banks, commercial finance companies and developer owners on numerous financial instruments.

Editor’s Note: Gorman was promoted to co-chair of the business department at Stadley Ronon after we went to press with this issue.
