Total commercial filings during calendar year 2014 were 34,455, a 22% drop from the 44,083 filings during the same period in 2013, according to data provided by Epiq Systems.

Citing Epiq Systems data, the ABI said total commercial Chapter 11 filings dipped 27% compared to October 2013; however October 2014 commercial Chapter 11
filings were up 3% from September 2014.
