FTI Capital, Marquette Commercial Finance Win Refinancing Award

FTI Capital Advisors said it won the Refinancing of the Year Award at the 2009 Distressed Investing Conference and Turnaround Awards Gala on March 16, 2009.

FTI Capital Advisors won the award for structuring a deal to provide Overland Storage with a comprehensive working capital facility. The success of this refinancing was a direct result of a collaboration between FGI Finance and Marquette Commercial Finance.

FGI Finance will provide up to $5 million in financing secured by Overland's foreign accounts receivable while Marquette's domestic facility will provide the company with accelerated liquidity.

"Given that 40% of Overland's revenues are generated outside the United States, FGI's financing of the company's foreign receivables represents the remaining piece of the two stage financing that began last fall and will enable Overland to continue its turnaround," said Kevin Shultz, senior managing director of FTI Capital Advisors.

The M&A Advisors' Turnaround Awards Gala recognizes excellence in deal-making in the distressed investing, restructuring and turnaround marketplace. There were 107 finalists in 26 categories were selected.
