Business Capital Adds Burrick as Senior Vice President

Wednesday, June 27, 2012
Business Capital announced the addition of industry veteran Robert Burrick as senior vice president. He will work directly with Business Capital's managing director, Chuck Doyle, to expand the national client base and business development efforts on the East Coast.

Burrick brings extensive expertise in business finance, law and workouts. Before joining Business Capital, he was a principal and served as a senior officer of two specialty finance companies. Bob also served as the chief restructuring officer of a major hospitality group charged with the turnaround and sale of non-performing assets. His efforts at the Hudson Valley Resort & Spa located in upstate New York resulted in a 100% recovery for creditors. He also successfully negotiated the sale and liquidation of a group of nursing homes and rehabilitation hospitals located throughout New York State.

Prior to his involvement in business and lending work, he was a bankruptcy partner at a major national law firm for 20 years, working on major bankruptcy cases. Most significantly, he represented the pharmaceutical companies in the Foxmeyer Bankruptcy Case, was counsel for ownership in the AmeriServe Food Distribution case, and counsel for lenders in the Prime Motor Inns filings. Burrick graduated SUNY-Buffalo Phi Beta Kappa and holds a JD from Fordham University School of Law.

"We're pleased to have someone of Bob's caliber joining us. He has been in the restructuring and finance industry for three decades, representing the interests of both borrowers and lenders. This unique perspective will bring a great deal of additional value to our clients and partners and increase our ability to help challenged businesses and strengthen relationships on the east coast." said Doyle. "In the current financial environment, Bob's extensive experience with out-of-court-restructurings, debtor in possession financing and distressed debt transactions will be a tremendous asset to the working capital and restructuring solutions we provide at Business Capital."

Business Capital, founded in 2002, is a national commercial finance company that provides debt restructuring, asset-based financing and growth capital for lower and middle-market commercial and industrial companies.
