Wells Fargo Securities announced that Brian Moon has joined the company as a managing director and head of Financial Institutions Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) in the Investment Banking and Capital Markets group.

Moon is based in New York and reports to Scott Heberton and Jim Sigman, co-heads of the Financial Institutions group.

Moon joins Wells Fargo Securities from Deutsche Bank, where he was a managing director and head of Financial Institutions M&A – Americas, executing a broad range of M&A advisory and capital raising activities. Prior to that, he was at Morgan Stanley where he was a vice president. Additionally, Moon spent several years at Constitution Reinsurance and its parent company, EXOR America, including two years as the executive director of finance reporting directly to the chief financial officer of Constitution Reinsurance. He began his career as an analyst at Morgan Stanley’s insurance group. Moon is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley.
