Jason Rae has joined Tiger Group as Director of Business Development for the Northeast.

From his base in the firm’s Boston office, Rae will be responsible for marketing the firm’s advisory, restructuring, asset valuation, disposition and auction services to members of the asset-based lending and private equity communities, as well as to professionals serving the retail, wholesale, industrial and real estate sectors. His territory covers the Northeast region extending from Connecticut to Maine, along with metro Chicago, and the Toronto and Montreal markets in Canada. He reports to Michael McGrail, managing director.

Rae assumes responsibility for the Northeast territory from managing director Michael Aho, who will focus on business development in the New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania region. “Michael’s move to the critical tri-state area makes Tiger the only firm in our industry with a full appraisal office in New York City supported by a dedicated New York-based marketing person,” noted McGrail.

Rae comes to Tiger Group from Great American Group, Needham, MA, where he most recently served as senior project manager. During his nine years at Great American, Rae conducted pre-funding due diligence, inventory appraisals and valuations and collateral monitoring for over 300 companies on behalf of lending institutions worldwide. He joined the firm in 2002 as a financial analyst and rose through the ranks to become a project manager in 2007 and senior project manager in 2010.

“Jason’s operational background, which affords him an intimate knowledge of the appraisal process and product, as well as his strong client-centric approach, will serve him well as he works to improve upon Tiger Group’s appraisal volume and market share in the Northeast,” said McGrail.

A resident of Boston, Rae graduated from Boston College in 2002 with a B.A. degree in Economics.

Tiger Group and its affiliates provide advisory, restructuring, valuation, disposition and auction services within a broad range of retail, wholesale, and industrial sectors.
