Tennenbaum Capital Partners announced that Gary Lembo joined the New York office as director. Lembo is involved in sourcing, executing and managing credit investments across the firm’s performing and special situation credit strategies.

“Gary brings significant expertise in investment management and specialized knowledge of restructurings and reorganizations to our New York team,” said Philip Tseng, managing partner. “With the establishment of our New York office nearly a year ago, we have expanded the firm’s geographic footprint substantially and continue to bolster our teams on both coasts. On behalf of all our partners and employees, we are pleased to extend a warm welcome to Gary Lembo.”

Lembo was most recently a senior vice president with Deloitte CRG. He advised numerous companies in developing and implementing performance improvement and operational restructuring initiatives and recently served as chief restructuring officer for a large restaurant chain, overseeing the Chapter 11 process and asset sales for the debtor. Prior to Deloitte CRG, Lembo was a managing director at Marathon Asset Management where he was responsible for originating, structuring and managing senior and subordinated loans originated from both the primary and secondary markets.
