Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth announced that debt finance attorney Dayan Rosen joined the firm as shareholder and will lead the expansion of its Debt Finance and Financial Services practice group. He will be based out of Stradling’s Santa Monica office.

Prior to Stradling, Rosen spent eight years at Latham & Watkins and also was a partner at Los Angeles-based middle market firm Manatt Phelps. Before moving to Los Angeles in 2004, Rosen worked at UBS in Tokyo, first in the investment banking department executing UBS’s debt and equity mandates there, and then as a director in its legal department.

“We are very pleased to have Dayan join us and lead our debt finance team. He’s the perfect complement to our expanding private equity group and under his leadership we expect great things will happen quickly,” says David Lafitte, shareholder, director, and member of the firm’s executive committee.

Rosen has broad debt finance experience, which includes representing financial institutions, private equity firms and portfolio companies in leveraged finance and other lending transactions. At prior firms, on the private equity side, he worked extensively with Oaktree Capital Management and The Gores Group, and on the financial institution side he has led transactions for UBS, Fifth Third Bank, Barclays, Credit Suisse, JPMorgan and Wells Fargo.
