Stradley Ronon partner Gary Scharmett and the firm were recognized by M&A Advisor in the category, Turnaround of the Year: Turnaround and Restructuring of Classic Brands, at the 6th annual M&A Advisor Turnaround Awards. The deal team included Scharmett and Stradley Ronon partner Chris Rosenbleeth.

The awards highlight the best of the turnaround, restructuring and distressed investing industry in 2011.

Scharmett and the firm were chosen from more than 160 nominees representing over 250 companies to receive their award. An independent judging committee of industry experts determined the ultimate recipients of the awards.

Scharmett co-chairs the firm’s finance and restructuring practice group and represents banks, finance companies and other providers of credit in the negotiation and documentation of complex financing transactions as well as workouts and restructurings, with particular emphasis on asset-based lending. He provides counsel to companies regarding commercial, business and finance matters. Scharmett also advises corporate clients on all aspects of mergers and acquisitions, securities and other business law matters.

As a member of the firm’s mergers & acquisition, finance & restructuring and real estate practice groups, Rosenbleeth represents lenders and borrowers in commercial finance transactions and commercial real estate finance transactions. He also represents the firm’s clients in general corporate and real estate matters.
