Sterling Expands Government Contractor Finance Group

Sterling National Bank and Richard Lewis of Financial Engineering Counselors, Ltd. are working together to expand its government contractor specialty practice within the Washington, D.C. metro area. Lewis’ role will primarily be to introduce Sterling to the government contractor industry, including temporary employment agencies and IT consultants that provide staff to U.S., state and local governments.

Sterling’s government contractor group is lead by Robert Mocerino, vice president, Sterling National Bank. The specialty practice is a natural extension of the bank’s expertise in providing full-service payroll financing (which is financing coupled with back office support), accounts receivable financing, asset-based financing and factoring to staffing firms across the U.S. Sterling’s payroll finance operations are located in Woodbury, NY.

Lewis and Financial Engineering Counselors are entering their fourth year of assisting government contractors with their financing needs.
