SouthCrest Financial said Russ Holland has joined the company as chief credit officer. He more than over 25 years of commercial credit experience to SouthCrest. Most recently, he served as the chief lending officer for Seacoast National Bank in Florida, where he oversaw the growth, risk management and performance of all lending functions, disposed of troubled assets and improved overall credit quality and recapitalization through public/private capital raises, enabling the bank to return to profitability.

Holland also worked in credit leadership and development for several other major banks in the Florida market and was the chief financial officer for a private commercial REIT where he helped raise capital and arrange debt to acquire and develop over $1 billion in assets.
